Friday, June 4 Process Tours
Tour B:
Creosoting, Sugar, Jets, and Kaolin.
8:00 AM departure
First stop is Atlantic Wood, where the wood used in telephone poles is
creosoted in an attractive setting. Then to the giant sugar refinery that
produces Dixie Crystals sugar products. After lunch, weÌll head to Gulfstream,
manufacturer of luxury jet aircraft, and then to Engelhard, a giant in the
kaolin industry that produces chemical catalysts from clay. Short pants,
short-sleeved shirts, and open-toed or tennis shoes prohibited on this tour.
