Friday, June 4 Process Tours

Tour E:

Jesup - Meat Cutters, Quality Papers, Ballet Shoes, and Tutus.

7:45 AM departure

First stop is Richmond Hill, a town that Henry Ford developed in the 1930s
and 1940s. We'll take photos at some of the buildings that date from the Ford
era, then move on to the Hobart Corporation, a manufacturer of commercial food
processing equipment. Then on to the Rayonier Paper plant, producer of quality
paper products. During lunch, our guest speaker will discuss the Beekeeping industry
of the Jesup area.  After lunch, we'll make a memorable visit to AshleyManufacturing,
a fascinating textile plant that produces handmade ballet shoes, dancewear, and
colorful tutus. One additional stop is still being arranged.
