Historic Savannah Beyond the
Historic District 1:00PM departure
A brisk visit to a number of historic industrial sites and buildings beyond
the central Historic District. Planned stops include the still operational
1912 electric generating station, the Thunderbolt shrimping district, historic
forts, the Tybee Island lighthouse, an attractive 1898 municipal powder
magazine, the mule sheds used by the original streetcar lines, and the
structural remains of various other factories.
