Reynolds Square

Abercorn and East St. Julian Streets

The only square in Savannah honoring two pre-Revolutionary War figures, Reynolds is named for the first royal governor, Captain John Reynolds and houses a monument honoring John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.  Reynolds Square was the center of entertainment for many years, being the site of numerous movie theatres, most notably the Lucas Theatre at the southeast corner.  The Pink House Restaurant and Tavern, one of the oldest standing buildings in Savannah, sits at the northeast corner of the square
