Troup Square
at Habersham and East Macon Streets
Laid out in 1851, Georgia Governor George Michael Troup was still living when this square was named for him. This square boasts of two sets of restored row houses, the Kennedy Row and the McDonough Row. The Kennedy Row began as a set of four houses in 1872 with the additional four attached in 1885. The McDonough Row, completed in 1882, is a fine example of an old set of row houses that are newly restored.
